Copyright Policy
Last Updated: May 8, 2026
OnlyCats respects the intellectual property rights of content creators worldwide. This page explains how we source content, how we attribute creators, and how to report copyright concerns.
1. How We Source Content
All content displayed on OnlyCats is sourced through official, licensed APIs and embed services:
| Platform | Content Type | Method |
|---|---|---|
| The Cat API | Cat images | API (thecatapi.com) |
| Pexels | Photos and videos | API (pexels.com) |
| Unsplash | Photos | API — hotlinked per ToS |
| YouTube | Videos | Embedded via official iframe player |
| Klipy | GIFs | API (klipy.com) |
We do not scrape, download, or re-host content from any platform unless explicitly permitted by that platform's license. YouTube videos are embedded only, never downloaded.
2. Attribution
We provide attribution as required by each platform:
- Unsplash: “Photo by [Name] on Unsplash” — linking to photographer and Unsplash
- Pexels: “Photo/Video by [Name]” — linking to creator and Pexels
- YouTube: Channel name with link to channel
- Klipy: “Powered by KLIPY”
- The Cat API: “via The Cat API”
